These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. BreathiZen is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Not medical advice
Information on this website is educational. It does not replace advice from your doctor or pharmacist, who know your history.
Not an inhaler
BreathiZen is swallowed, not inhaled. It is never a rescue treatment. If you have been prescribed an inhaler or any respiratory medicine, continue exactly as directed.
Who should ask a doctor first
- Anyone pregnant, nursing or under 18.
- Anyone taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicine, because ginger may add to its effect.
- Anyone taking diabetes or blood-pressure medicine.
- Anyone with a diagnosed lung or heart condition, or with surgery planned in the next two weeks.
When to seek care
Sudden breathlessness, chest pain, blue lips or difficulty speaking are emergencies: call 911. See a doctor for a cough lasting more than three weeks, coughing blood, wheezing or unexplained weight loss.
